![]() The sites are especially useful for medical testing during times of an outbreak since keeping patients in vehicles can help to minimize exposure to a contagious disease. Typically consisting of pop-up tents and traffic cones, these temporary sites may be in a state fairground or parking lot at a hospital or retail store. To anyone who is lying about taking disability insurance benefits, Kimberly Popp has a warning.Drive-thru medical sites are one way that hospitals and health departments provide intermittent medical services (such as administering the flu vaccine) with greater ease and/or safety for their patients. He was recently released from prison, but declined to comment to “20/20.” Last January, he was sentenced to one year in federal prison and was ordered to pay back all the money he had collected in benefits. In all, federal investigators said Larry Popp fraudulently collected $175,000 in government payments and Popp was slapped with disability fraud charges. So why should I take the fall for something he did?” “I didn’t have $13,000 to pay the government. “I wasn’t going to take the fall for something he was doing that was illegal,” Kimberly Popp said. But it was Larry Popp who had actually applied for benefits, not just for himself, but for their entire family, and secretly collected the money from them without the family’s knowledge. ![]() The tipping point, she said, was when the IRS came after her, claiming she owed thousands in back taxes. She was the one who tipped off investigators to her husband’s bogus blind man act. He would go out and buy cars without me knowing.” “Larry is a person that likes money, wants to always be in charge,” she said. Popp’s ex-wife Kimberly Popp confirmed that her husband liked to spend lavishly. He was even seen driving a motorboat towing water skiers around a lake, according to investigators. Investigators said he also took trips to Italy, Florida and the Caymans. They saw his car parked outside the Milwaukee Athletic Club, where memberships cost thousands of dollars a year. Meanwhile, investigators for the SSA and the IRS said Popp was living large. Hartlerode said Popp would communicate with people over email and he saw him driving himself to work. Popp’s then-vice president Dave Hartlerode said Popp was a fixture at the office, despite supposedly being unable to work. But he decided to keep those details to himself. and his “sister business,” Commercial Sales Agency. His eyes did get better, and he generated plenty of income, not just collecting benefits but working at his two businesses, Refrigerated Equipment Distributors Co. Popp did have legitimate vision impairment from an illness back in 2004 when he signed up for benefits, but he promised to notify the Social Security Administration if his medical condition improved, or if he were to get a job or generate income by other means. So ‘I’m going to get away with it more and more,’ and he took it to the extreme.” “They get comfortable to the point of they’re getting away with it. “People in Popp’s position get comfortable,” Kiehn said. For one meeting with a claims rep, he parked his car a block away from the Social Security office and walked to the door.īob Kiehn, an ABC News consultant and a private investigator, said he has seen “tons and tons of people” like Popp, who lie over and over again to collect benefits. In reality, investigators caught Popp on tape driving himself around. In another meeting, the rep asked him if he drove, which he denied. In one surveillance video of a meeting at a Social Security office, Popp seemed to tear up in front of a rep when she asked about his condition. When he met with government claims reps, Popp was captured on videotape keeping up his act of being visually impaired. Trae Young finished with 25 points and seven assists but he did not play well, as most glaringly evidenced by his 10 turnovers. Game 3 will take place on Friday night in Atlanta as the Hawks look to avoid being pushed to the brink of their postseason lives. Jimmy Butler was fantastic on Tuesday night finishing the Heat win with a game-high 45 points and now they are in the driver's seat in this series as a result. The Miami Heat are two wins away from a berth in the Eastern Conference semifinals. We'll see what kind of fight the Hawks have left. So now Atlanta heads home for what is essentially a must-win Game 3 on Friday. The Hawks aren't going to win very many games when Young shoots 20 percent from 3 and commits 10 turnovers, especially not against a No. But one of the biggest leaps Young has made has been his reduction in ill-advised 3-pointers, and on Tuesday, flustered and rushed, he jacked up a bunch of bad 3s.Īgain, he finished 2-of-10 from beyond the arc. ![]() He found some jump-shot rhythm with some mid-rangers. Young did get into the paint more effectively in Game 2, finishing with 25 points and seven assists while converting eight of his 10 shots from inside the arc. Miami is mixing up coverages, sporadically springing traps. The Heat are all over him with size and switches and he's seeing bodies sinking down into his driving lanes at all times. Young's turnovers were a mixture of his own sloppiness and soft/lazy passes and Miami's relentless pressure. Miami is a better team at every other spot on the floor and in every other facet of the game. It's a lot to put on Young that he has to be brilliant for Atlanta to have a chance, but that's the reality. There was an error processing your subscription. No way does Atlanta keep this game at all close without Bogi. Bogdan Bogdanovic hit a bunch of really tough shots - 12-of-18 overall and 5-of-10 from 3 - to finish with 29 points. Frankly, that Atlanta was even close down the stretch of this game with Young playing like that was a small miracle.Įarly in the game, a lot of weird caroms went Atlanta's way that turned into "look what I found" buckets. He finished with eight points on 1-for-12 shooting in Game 1, and had had 10 turnovers and shots 2-for-10 from 3 in Game 2. ![]() Suffice it to say, Young has not been dominant offensively in this series. In my preview of this series, I talked about the Trae Young offense-defense tradeoff and how it can only come out as a positive for Atlanta if Young dominates offensively, because his defense completely drowns an Atlanta defense that is already barely treading water. The Hawks are nothing short of a dreadful defense. That trend appears to be continuing.īefore we anoint Butler as the closer the Heat need, however, let's keep in mind who he's doing this against. He shot 35 percent from deep in the bubble and so far this postseason he's 5-or-9 from 3.īutler knocked down four of his seven 3s on Tuesday and, generally speaking, his aggression as a shooter has consistently gone up in the postseason with Miami. Interesting note: Butler has been a horrendous 3-point shooter during the regular season in his time with the Heat (24 percent in his first two seasons and 23 percent this year), but he's been much better in the playoffs. Beyond the occasional inclination to slap together a bike ramp with his buddies or a rough planter box for a gift, there wasn’t a lot to foreshadow a career as a do-it-yourself media maker. It would certainly do everything and more that I would require.Growing up in Oklahoma City, Mike Montgomery wasn’t raised to be a builder or craftsman, and certainly didn’t think much about midcentury modern design. I would overland in a Chevy truck, if it was in my budget. Nothing wrong with that really, as we all do it in various areas of our lives (ask 10 people what a race car should look like.you'll get 10 different answers.but one answer will be "don't care, just has to be fast"). It's just that one group attaches a certain "ideal" image to the activity, and others perhaps not. And we adventured and explored all over the place. In my family it was a plain-jane vanilla colored Jeep Wagoneer. But they got out there just the same, using what they had. Most of our parents didn't have Land Cruisers, Land Rovers, or 4Runners. Then really any off-road capable vehicle can become and adventure rig. Which is awesome.īut if someone looks at "overland" based just on effect, or achieving a certain activity (like exploring and camping). ![]() It's what they have pictured, what they have dreamed about, and they are just trying to make it real in their own lives. So as folks emulate what they were inspired by, it is no surprise that they gravitate to that ideal. So North American off-road capable vehicles just haven't been part of that image to any significant degree. (Land rover comes to mind, but brands such as Toyota are well represented). Typically this notion is more international and has been visually dominated by certain European and international brands for 50-60 years or more. ![]() Many people drawn to the notion of "overlanding" were inspired by what they have seen or grown up with. I am really hoping to make an educated decision on how to proceed and getting some brutally honest, outside perspective will be a huge help! Here's a photo of 'Black Betty' on her lastest adventure, to Big Bend Ranch State Park in Texas. Honestly thinks.so have at it and don't worry about hurting feelings. OK.so that's alot but what I've considered. So perhaps this is more my perception than reality. This could be the main thing.there's not kick ass Overlanding series where the guys tool around in Chevy's.pretty much every single one is one giant Toyota commercial (effective ones at that). Thus.to properly fit my 35" KO2's I have to have a truck on a 6" lift. It's no Toyota.but I think I've been able to get most everything I need or want.ħ. Not sure how I'd fare in more boulder-ridden trails out west.Ħ. No issue so far.was able to do anything I needed to in Big Bend including the 'Shelf' section on Black Gap Road in the NP. The 5.3L V8 that's in mine will probably outlast us all. I did learn how much it sucks to not have a disconnecting sway bar since I broke mine on a recent trip to Big Bend. But.I haven't found anything my truck can't go through, so perhaps this is another issue that's more theoretical than reality. The G80 is fine if you understand how it works, but I'd think that e-lockers will always be preferred. ![]() ![]() Not sure this is much of an issue.my rig has never had an issue, but I lack front lockers or even the ability to lock my rear diff on command. Sorta hand in hand with the first point.my ability to turn, say on a switchback, seems pretty limited.ģ. But.this is a full size overland vehicle issue and not just a Silverado problem.Ģ. Pretty sure there's alot of trails I'll never be able to do simply because I can't fit. Pretty sure only the Power Wagon or other larger 3/4 ton trucks are larger than my rig. Random thought.but as I consider more overlanding equipement investments into my 2016 Silverado.I wonder why the universe of Silverado's being used in this capacity is so small? ![]() 11:11 is a very high vibration number that aligns you with your higher mind and spirit body, including the process of manifesting your true path. One of the divine timing signs is seeing 11:11, which is also known as the number of synchronicity, twin flames, and spiritual awakening. There are few angel numbers specifically linked to the idea and realization of divine timing. Divine timing lives in the spirit of wo/man it’s within us. All other numbers come after number 1, and it energetically (and spiritually) symbolizes how we can align with our future selves, becoming the whole and holistic beings we are designed to be.Īs a karmic number, 1 assists us in overcoming or transcending shadow traits and thus aligning with our light selves. Divine timing or perfect right timing is strongly linked to numerology: 0 is the original starting point, the silence, and space and portal for new opportunities, unlimited abundance and manifestation, and source connection.ġ is the first number representing karmic energy, initiation, self-leadership, conscious action, and self-growth. So, emptiness fills our inner beings and outer lives just as creation does, or our capacity to co-create with the universal quantum field. Space and surrender are just as significant as conscious action and force or willpower. Light and sound make up virtually everything, so silence is just as important for growth and evolution as sound, and vice versa. Quantum physics can help you to understand this better, specifically the higher truth that we are all sound waves & light frequencies! As individuals, we are masters of our own destinies yet, like drops in the ocean, we are “nothing.” No thing is every thing. There is both a grounded (bottom-up) reality and a spiritual one (top-down). We each have a unique mission linked to our inner frequency and timeless blueprint.įree will and divine purpose or fate are equally significant in the grand scheme of things. Oh yes, there is a soul plan, pre-destined path, and divine purpose in store for all of us. 99.9% of space exists within every cell, atom, and particle, making the universe formless.Ĭoming in touch with the universal truth that relationships, money manifestation, wealth, abundance, success, love, and supposed be special moments happen in harmony with both free will and destiny allow you to release control and surrender, simultaneously trusting the Great Spirit’s (or God’s) divine plan. On a subatomic level, “all that is” is virtually space or nothingness. Everything is nothing, and no thing is every-thing!ĭivine timing is really about getting in tune with the space and silence that dwells within the cosmos. This opens us up to the universe’s timing and the truths and realizations that make divine timing real. Once we begin to awaken to the fact that there is more than a physical body, and thus more than a material world, we can start to see just how interconnected everything is. In this respect, there is a reality where the soul comes first, and everything else is just a manifestation of the soul’s essence. We have an emotional body, astral body, spiritual body, and mental body we are more than the physical body, in other words. ![]() We are ruled by subtle and often unseen invisible energies. The subtle, ethereal, and spiritual dimensions are just as significant- and real, so there is more to life and being than meets the eye. ![]() There is not only a physical or material reality in the holographic and spiritual universe.
